1. Service Description
Cash For Cars West Auckland (Cash For Cars West Auckland) is a vehicle purchasing and recycling service operating across West Auckland, New Zealand. These terms govern vehicle purchase transactions between us and vehicle sellers.
2. Quotations
Quotes provided by phone or online are estimates based on vehicle information provided by the seller. Final offers are confirmed upon physical inspection. If the vehicle does not match the description provided, the offer may be revised.
3. Ownership and Authority to Sell
By selling a vehicle to us, you confirm you are the legal owner of the vehicle or have authority from the registered owner to sell it. You confirm the vehicle is not subject to any finance agreements that have not been disclosed.
4. Payment
Payment is made by cash or bank transfer at the time of vehicle collection. We do not pay by cheque. Bank transfers are processed immediately and typically clear within minutes on NZ bank-to-bank transfers.
5. NZTA Ownership Transfer
We process the NZTA Motor Vehicle Register ownership transfer upon vehicle collection. We provide NZTA transfer confirmation to the seller within 24 hours. For scrapped vehicles, we apply for a Certificate of Destruction.
6. Vehicle Condition
We purchase vehicles in all conditions. Sellers should accurately describe vehicle condition when requesting a quote. Material misrepresentation of vehicle condition may result in offer revision.
7. Liability
Cash For Cars West Auckland accepts no liability for any fines, charges, or penalties accrued by the vehicle prior to transfer of ownership. Sellers retain liability for the vehicle until NZTA transfer is completed.
8. Privacy
Personal information collected for NZTA transfer purposes is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required for NZTA compliance.
